Veterans Build

Providing volunteer, homeownership and employment opportunities to U.S. veterans, military service members and their families.

Serving those who served.

To have a forever home is a dream come true for us. We would not have been ready to purchase a home otherwise, and we are so grateful for this opportunity.

What is a Veterans Build?

Serving those who served

Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity strives to empower military and veteran families to achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves. Since 2013, the Habitat for Humanity network has partnered with 9,097 veterans and their families to help improve their housing. We want to do more in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Habitat is part of a national effort to not only provide affordable and decent homes for men and women who have served, but also join a larger voice advocating for the needs of our veterans and their families.

Veteran builds provide volunteer experiences that bring together veterans, military families, and their neighbors. These experiences help bridge the gap and ease the transition to civilian life with fulfilling community engagement.

The last thing a Veteran should have to worry about is fighting for a decent place to live

We believe every veteran deserves to be welcomed home with dignity, honor, and respect. We are looking to partner with veterans and their families to build new safe, stable, and affordable homes.

Whether you or a loved one are retired, still on active duty, served for a short time, or dedicated your entire career to serving: We Want to Serve You!

At Habitat, we know that decent and affordable housing
provides tremendous social and economic benefit.
Veterans have sacrificed so much to serve our country.
It is incumbent on us to serve them by helping them find
long-term stability through safe and affordable shelter.”
