Give to the Max Day
Everyone deserves a decent place to live. Sadly, there are many families in our community that are living in places that are falling down around them. Places where children sleep next to leaking windows, mold and holes in the roofs and walls.
Sonia and Madi's home was one of those places. The trailer that they were living was not fit for family, especially a single mom and her daughter. They tried to fix it up, but it was a losing battle. Madi was too scared to sleep, or even play, in her own room. They had little hope for the future...until they found Habitat for Humanity.
You can help like Sonia's have a safe, warm and secure home for decades to come.
Please consider a donation on Give to the Max Day this year, Thursday, November 17th. With your help, we hope to raise $20,000. Money that will be used to kickstart our 2017 builds.
All donations, up to $8000, will be matched by our sponsors, The First Lutheran Church Foundation and West Acres Mall.
Give to the Max Day was created in 2009 to launch GiveMN, a collaborative venture led by Minnesota Community Foundation and many other organizations committed to helping make our state a better place. That initial spark touched off a blast of online giving: $14 million in 24 hours. Since then, Give to the Max Day has become an annual tradition. In 2015, Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity raised over $10,200 on Give to the Max Day.
