9 Ways to Celebrate ReStore’s 9th Anniversary

9 Ways to Celebrate ReStore’s 9th Anniversary

Written by LaRissa Nelson

This week, the Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity ReStore is celebrating 9 years of making a difference in our community. Our success wouldn’t be possible without you—our shoppers, donors and volunteers—and we want to thank you. Join us at ReStore from July 21st through the 25th and help us celebrate our anniversary in these 9 ways:

1. Get even bigger discounts.

Select new and gently used items will be on sale all week, including doors, lighting, microwaves, dishwashers, carpet and more!

2. Experience fun for the whole family.

Saturday is Game Day! Stop in and take a putt in our Hole in One contest, or take a guess at the number of nails in the ReStore nail bin. Prizes will be awarded!

3. Win awesome prizes.

If you make a purchase at ReStore during our anniversary week, you’ll be entered to win one of many prizes, including:

  • ReStore gift cards up to $50
  • Science Museum of Minnesota vouchers
  • A one-night stay at the Fargo Holiday Inn
  • Mall of America package (Nickelodeon Universe, Moose Mountain and coupon book!)
  • Twins retired player and coach, Tony Oliva, signed print

4. Enjoy Free Float Friday.

Stop by on Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and get a complimentary root beer float!

5. Give back to the community.

Proceeds from your ReStore purchases benefit Habitat for Humanity’s mission of building affordable homes for families in need in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

6. Help reduce waste.

Your donations to ReStore help keep usable building materials, home improvement products and appliances out of the trash. With your help, we’ve diverted over 8.5 million pounds from landfills! Donate your gently used extra furniture, outdated appliances and more whenever you can.

7. Spread the word.

Tell your friends about us! Have a friend tag along with you the next time you stop into the store, or share photos of some of your favorite upcycled ReStore projects on your social media pages. And don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Pinterest, where we share our latest in-store items and DIY inspiration.

8. Restore something of your own.

Feeling crafty? Get DIY ideas on our previous blog posts and Pinterest, and check out our Facebook page for some DIY projects we’ve done right at ReStore. Then pick up the supplies you need for your next project at our store. (And don’t forget to show us a before and after picture—we love to see the things people make using ReStore materials.)

9. Ask us about more opportunities for involvement.

There are a variety of volunteering opportunities at ReStore. Whether you want to get your hands dirty with deconstruction or prefer something a little more low-key, contact us and we’ll set you up with the volunteer opportunity best suited to you.
